Understand The Marketing and advertising Pyramid

    JVZoo Product Feed

In sales and advertising there is certainly some thing referred to as the "marketing pyramid." The advertising pyramid is comprised of 3 distinct attributes, all of which should be present inside the prospect just before a sale is doable.

In case you very carefully look at every single of the 3 components, you gain a higher knowing with the income procedure and make a lot more income.

Wish

It stands to reason but numerous sales and profits professionals still neglect the most fundamental ingredient… need.

In case your prospect does not wish the product or service you are providing, there is small chance that a sale will occur. Sure, we do make some purchases according to our "needs" but this is the exception rather than the rule.

If you want to boost your sales and profits, you need to very first try to find prospective customers that are most likely to want what you need to present. With that achieved, you'll be able to do your ideal to highlight the incredibly ideal positive aspects provided by your product or service in an work to intensify their all-natural desire.

This is one of the factors that social media advertising is so effective. Sites like Facebook allow it to be quick for entrepreneurs to come across prospects by their interests.

Willingness

From time to time, you will discover a prospect has a desire for the item or services but not the willingness to truly spend for it.

For instance, most would say they'd like a new Ferrari if asked, but how a lot of would be prepared to pay out upwards of $200,000 even if they had the cash to try and do so?

In order to enhance someone's willingness, you must detail the benefits and clarify why the item or service is often a good worth.

You also have to crucial in to the prospect's main needs since should the wish is strong sufficient, they become much more prepared.

Capacity

Even when you uncover that the prospect has the needed wish and willingness, you might be unable to close the offer based on their capacity.

Going again to the Ferrari example; you may come across the prospect wants a brand new Ferrari and could be willing to shell out for it if they may… but they can't.

Most 16-21 year outdated males fit this group.

Generally, funding possibilities occur into play when trying to improve someone's capability to make a purchase. Occasionally that indicates providing a low monthly payment and in some cases you'll have to see in case the prospect features a prepared co-signer.

The latter may be necessary when the "ability issue" is based additional on credit approval and much less on their ability to repay the loan.

After you have all 3 elements with the marketing pyramid functioning in concert, you make income. In case your sales and profits are slower than you would like, re-examine your present to see if it could be enhanced.

Should you obtain your give is solid, it could be which you need to do a greater occupation discovering targeted prospects.

How To Drive More Website Traffic To Your Business Website

    JVZoo Product Feed

There are a variety of ways to drive visitors to your website and I'll cover a handful of them in this article. I will also break them down into two categories… Offline Methods and Online Methods.

Offline Marketing Methods

Offline methods, like the use of direct mail, is greatly overlooked by many business owners and marketers. Still, there are many great ways to drive targeted website traffic that don't require SEO or Pay-Per-Click ads.

Here are a few:

1. Direct Mail – You can rent a targeted mailing list and mail your promotional piece directly to your prospects. If you create a custom "url" for the campaign or use a trackable phone number, you can track the effectiveness of your campaign and measure your return on investment.

2. Newspaper Classifieds – While newspaper circulations are on the decline, a well-crafted classified ad can still work for many business types… especially those that cater to those 50 and older.

If you decide to place a classified ad make sure to negotiate for the best ad rate possible. Most newspapers are struggling to find advertisers and are willing to come down in price if asked.

Make sure you track your campaign for effectiveness. Any marketing method that is not measured is futile at best.

3. Co-op Mailings – If you partner with several other business owners you can share the cost of advertising. If you choose businesses that offer complimentary, but not competitive products/services, you can all benefit.

Online Marketing Methods

1. Social Media Marketing – When you think about social media marketing you probably think about sites like Facebook and Twitter, but there are many other places you can engage your market in a "social" way.

Generally speaking, any site that allows users to generate content can be considered a social site. This includes websites that have some sort of comment or review area, like Amazon.com as well as your own blog.

The more you can engage your customers on a social level, the more they will get to know, like and trust you. Once this occurs, you will find that sales increase and your customers will begin to promote you (and your message) without asking anything in return.

2. Search Engine Optimization – Search engine optimization, aka SEO, is the process of getting your website (web pages, really) found for terms you believe to be relevant to your business.

So, if you own an auto repair shop, you may want to be found for terms like… auto repair, car repair, smog check, oil change, tune up, etc.

To improve your chances of being found, you should see that these terms appear somewhere on a relevant page of your site AND you should try to get other websites to link to your site as well.

It's best if the links that point to your sites are "anchor text" links that link the desired phrases back to your site. This will give your web pages extra "authority" in the eyes of the search engines for the keyword phrases used in the links.

3. Pay Per Click Advertising – Whenever someone talks about Pay Per Click Ads they naturally think of the Adwords program run by Google. After all, it's the "800 lb. gorilla" in the world of PPC Advertising.

While Adwords offers many great opportunities to advertisers, they're not the only game in town. Don't forget to look into Facebook Ads as Facebook offers a number of features that will allow you to target your market in ways not possible on Adwords.

As Facebook collects a lot of user data, this data can be used by advertisers when creating their ad campaigns. If you have an offer that is specific to a geographic area or only appeals to members of one particular sex, you can create a campaign that is tailored specifically to their needs.

At the end of the day, it's important that you seek to drive the most targeted traffic you can to your website and do your best to track your results. Doing this will help you improve your efforts over time and will ensure that your return on investment will continue to grow.

Another Reason To Convert Your Site to Wordpress. Matt Cutts Said So.

    JVZoo Product Feed

Well not exactly. In a recent post, Matt Cutts wrote about how a business with multiple stores should have a webpage for each store.

Matt said “please don’t hide that information behind a search form or a POST. If you want your store pages to be found, it’s best to have a unique, easily crawlable url for each store. Ideally, you would also create an HTML sitemap that points to the web pages for your stores (and each web page should have a unique url). If you have a relatively small number of stores, you could have a single page that links to all your stores. If you have a lot of stores, you could have a web page for each (say) state that links to all stores in that state.

Here’s a concrete example. I’m a big fan of Pinkberry because I love frozen yogurt: both the delicious treat and the new version of Android. But Pinkberry’s store locator page only offers a search form. Pinkberry has a url for each store (for example, here’s their page for a San Jose location). But because Pinkberry doesn’t provide an HTML sitemap on their store locator page, it’s harder for search engines to discover those pages exist. And in fact for the query [pinkberry san jose], Google does find the specific page, but it doesn’t rank as highly as it might; some other search engines don’t return that web page at all.”

Well,  adding a webpage for each store is easy in WordPress and the page has all of the look and feel and features of the original site. So you can take advantage of the ease of creating multiple pages for each store, easily create a sitemap that includes each store and take advantage of the search engine juice each page give you in Google according to Matt Cutts.

Here is a link to Matts original article SEO Advice: Make a web page for each store location

Why You MUST Convert Your Website to Wordpress

    JVZoo Product Feed

This is a post, I read courtesy of my friend John Lawson over at http://3rdpoblogs.com/colderice/. John called his article “Should Your Convert Your Website to WordPress?”

The original writer was Steve Strauss, Steve feels like every small business owner should convert their website to WordPress and I agree. Mr Straus gave some very good reasons including

  • Ease of Updating. It’s easy to update and maintain a WordPress site because the site is stored in WordPress which is a CMS
  • Easy to change the look. You can buy or get free themes to change the look of the site but leave the content
  • Easy participation. WordPress allows your customers and readers to leave comments about your post
  • Search Engine Friendly. Basically SEO is built into WordPress

All of the above are great reasons to convert your site to WordPress but here are some move

  • Easy to add new types of media. WordPress easily incorporates all media including audio, video and more.
  • Easy to extend functionality. Plugins allow the site owner to add new functionality without programming

So, if you own a website for your business, convert it today and take advantage of WordPress’s features.

3 New Technologies to Marketing Your Business Online in 2010

    JVZoo Product Feed

Well its a new year and as usual things are changing quickly. If you own a small business, markring online is rapidly becoming a must, not just for local customers but to help leverage your business beyond your local area.

But these tips are kindof specific to local online marketing. The businesses that adapt these technologies will flourish and those that don’t…. well, will flourish less.

Here is why, all three technologies have to do in some fashion with mobile computing. For example, did you get an Iphone for Christmas or did you just but a Google Nexus One? Have you used your phone to find restaurants, movies and more.

Well, guess what so are your customers (Iphones are being used by 4th graders in some schools) and if they don;t find you on their mobile phone. YOU DO NOT EXIST.
So here they goes, 3 technologies for 2010.

  1. Twitter – ok, ok Twitter is old but herer is the questions. Are you asking your customers to follow you on Twitter? Are you sending them great deals to increase sales during slow times or when you have a really great deal. The other imprtant aspect of Twitter is it allows you to build deeper in your customer list by getting more data. If you are collecting customer contact info (you are doing that aren’t you) then having their twitter info helps build a richer, deeper connection. So if you aren’t using Twitter you should and if you aren’t collecting customer info, well…..
  2. Mobile website, If you have a Iphone or other mobile smart phone, you have seen these. The URL typically starts with the letter “m”, so Google’s site is m.Google.com and the Wall Street Journal is m.wsj.com and targets is m.target.com.Basically these sites are formated for the small screens and are easier to read, so the advantage of having one is it allows you to showcase your business in an easy to read format for your customers.
  3. Blog or New Website Design. Actually both. Most likely your website isn’t brochureware. What I mean is it doesn’t do anything except act as an online billboard and in todays world that is crazy. Your website not only should provide information about your website but needs to be able to have video informercials about your business, coupons and most importantly a mechanism to capture leads. Capture leads should be the primiary focus of your site so you can market to those lead in an ongoing fashion.

Thats it, if you get some of these things done this year your business will flourish, if you get them all done your business will shine and grow. Happy New Year

Writing Great PPC Ads for Your Local Business

    JVZoo Product Feed

Finding customers online using paid search requires ads that connect with searchers. You want your ad to stand out so customers see your ad easily and the copy needs to compel them to click to your landing page. Remember you only have a total of 95 characters, so every word matters. Here are some tips for writing great ppc ads

  1. Use keywords in ad copy. If your customers seacrches for “Mens Hoses in Philadelphia” and you have the same copy in your ad, your ad will stand out because Google will bold the keywords. So using keywords in ad copy helps draw searchers attention to your ad and improves chances that searcher will choose your ad.
  2. Use a Strong Call to Action. Tell searchers what you want them to do. If you want them to “Subscribe Today” tell them in the ad, If you want them to “Call Now” tell them in the ad, whatever you want the searcher to do, tell them in the ad
  3. Use benefits in ad. Searchers are looking for what they want but it sure doesn’t hurt to point out the benefits of your product or services to them. granted you’ve got limited space but you can use the most important benefit in the ad and caryy the additional benefits on the landing page
  4. Create an attention-grabbing headline. Nothing in your ad is more important that your headline. The problem with PPC ads is that you only have  (25 characters with AdWords). Write your headline wisely, but don’t stress over it too much, if your smart you will split test many, many different variations before you find the great ones.
  5. Make the ad relevant to the landing page. This last tip has more to do with message to market match than anything and will not effect click thru rate. (May effective landing page quality score). But it is stll very important that you make your ad relevant to the landing page. If a visitor reads a particular offer or benefit in your ad, they are expecting to find it when they click through. Give them what you promised in your ad and you will experience higher conversions. Give them something that doesn’t match the ad or worse force them to go looking for what they searched for  and you will have a lot of confused visitors who reach for the back button.

Remember th goal of PPC ads is to get searcher to take the next step, click on your ad and land them of a relevant page so by following these steps and executing each step in the process you will see higher conversions on your site.
